Living in a province has advantages and disadvantages. We don't have to live with EDSA traffic however, we are often left behind with the latest food destinations and newly opened fashion stores because it's usually located only within Metro Manila.
A good example would be buffets. Most of the most talked-about buffets are located in Metro Manila. A 3-hour drive just to eat in a buffet could be a big hassle. So we don't get to experience what Metro Manila people are enjoying.
When I found out that Chef Logro is opening another restaurant within our area, I was very happy. I was even happier to find out it was a grill buffet restaurant. So we scheduled our visit and here's our experience there:
The location is very accessible because it's just a few blocks away from SM Dasmarinas. It's along to road going to GMA-Carmona. There is a parking space however it's not that many.
The restaurant looks small in the outside but when we got inside, it was actually spacious. You will see several tables and chairs across the room, the salad and dessert area in the middle while the grilling station and main dishes on the left side of the entrance.
In the work station, you can choose your vegetables, meat and sauce. You can also what to grill. Simply hand it to the chefs in charge and they will have it cooked for you.
There are main dishes which, according to their staff, are changed every day. During our visit, their main course were: Pork Steak, Chicken Teriyaki, Sauteed shrimp, Ginataang Langka, Baby Back Ribs, Penne Primavera, Chicken Ala King, Crab & Corn Fritti, Calamari Fritti and Beef Tapa. Alongside this area are the rice and soup. I highly recommend you try their fried rice and bulalo! We had so much bulalo to a point we had more of it than water. Haha!
Oh, by the way, the only drinks included in the buffet is water and iced tea. Their iced tea was quite sweet for me. If you want soda, you can order from the bar.
The dessert area was filled with sweet treats like cakes and fruits. They all have halo-halo. The only concern we had with the cakes was that the cuts were big. We were to afraid to get a slice because we might not finish it. I hope they could make their slices smaller or let the customers do the slicing.
The buffet costs Php499, inclusive of VAT and no hidden charges. For children 2 to 4 feet of height, the buffet costs Php399 while children below 2 ft. are free of charge regardless of age. As mentioned above, special hot and cold beverages are on cash basis and are not included in the buffet.
The buffet begins at 10 AM to 2 PM for lunch while the dinner starts at 5:30 PM to 10 PM.
Birthday celebrants are free of charge but must have a companion and must present a valid ID card. They also have a promo where 1 person from a group of 10 people will be free of charge.
PWD and Senior Citizen cards are accepted however for now, they only have cash payments; they do not accept credit card payments. And oh, by the way, they don't have wifi there.
They are very strict with left-overs and sharing. And just like other buffets, they do not allow take-outs of course.
Overall, we were satisfied with our dinner at Chef Logro's Grill & Buffet. I definitely enjoyed eating here than in Cabalen. That's because I eat most of the food served here than the buffet in SM Dasma. It makes me feel that though Chef Logro's price is higher, I still got the value of my money there.
